Why Outsource Drone Services? If you’re trying to fly a drone in Pinellas County or the surrounding areas, you may find it to be a bit tricky. Our airspace is very restrictive due to the amount of airports and some drones may not even leave the ground in certain areas. The FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) is becoming more and more strict when it comes to our airspace and the flying of drones. While this may be a burden for some people trying to fly their drone, these regulations are put in place to protect the pilot, other aircraft and those around them. Seth Michael Media is licensed, insured and follows all of the guidelines laid out by the FAA for each and every flight. This includes pre-planning to ensure all waivers and/or permits are obtained before each flight. Did You Know? If you plan on flying a drone for commercial purposes, the PIC must be Part 107 certified. Commercial drone flights are defined as using a drone for non-hobby and non-recreational purposes. Some examples of Commercial Drone Use would be: construction sites, property inspections, roof inspections, aerial real estate photos/videos or anything else that is used for marketing and/or leads to compensation.
